This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Envello (the “App”) and this website, why it is processed, and the choices you have. Envello is developed and operated by MintSoft.
At a glance
- Your budget stays on your device. Envelopes, transactions, wallets, goals and settings are stored locally. We do not run servers that hold them, and we cannot see them.
- No account, no sign-up. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number to use the App.
- Crash reports help us fix bugs. When the App crashes or hits an error, a diagnostic report is sent to Sentry.
- The free version shows banner ads from Google AdMob. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and the UK), you decide whether ads may be personalized; on iPhone and iPad, tracking only happens if you allow it.
- Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. RevenueCat helps us confirm and restore Pro. We never see your payment card details.
- Delete everything at any time with Settings → Clear App Data, or by uninstalling the App.
01Who we are
MintSoft (“we”, “us”, “our”) develops and operates the App and is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. This policy also covers this website (envello.mint-soft.com) and our email support.
- Controller: MintSoft
- Email: app@mint-soft.com
- Website: mint-soft.com
02Information that stays on your device
Everything you enter in the App — envelopes, transactions, income, wallets, recurring bills, savings goals, notes and settings — is saved in the App's private storage on your device, together with up to 7 automatic daily backup copies. This data is not uploaded to us and we have no access to it. If you clear the App's data or uninstall the App, it is deleted.
Depending on your device settings, your operating system's own device backup (for example iCloud or Google backup) may include app data. Such backups are managed by Apple or Google under their terms, not by us.
03Crash and error reports (Sentry)
To find and fix problems, the App sends crash and error reports to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.). A report can include the error message and stack trace, technical breadcrumbs such as the screen that was open, the app version, device model, operating system version, language, and a sample of performance timings. Reports do not include your budget entries, and we do not add your name or contact details. Sentry processes the IP address of the connection in order to receive the report. 04Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of the App shows banner ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). To deliver, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, an approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and how you interact with ads.
- Consent: where the law requires consent (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform to ask whether ads may be personalized. You can review or change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad Privacy Options. Without consent, Google may show non-personalized ads, which still use limited data for purposes such as frequency capping and fraud prevention.
- iPhone and iPad: the App asks for permission through App Tracking Transparency. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) is not shared. You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID under your device's Google ad settings.
- Pro: buying Pro removes ads, and the App stops requesting them.

05Purchases (Apple, Google and RevenueCat)
Envello Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms. To confirm and restore your purchase, we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), which receives an anonymous app user ID generated by the App, the product identifier, the purchase receipt and transaction details provided by the store, and basic device and app information such as the operating system, app version and store country. We never receive your name, email address, payment card number or billing address. Privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
06Updates and reviews
To tell you when a new version is available, the App asks the App Store or Google Play whether an update exists; on Android, an update may be downloaded through Google Play's in-app update feature. If you choose to rate the App, the rating dialog is provided by Apple or Google. These requests are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies.
07Features you control
- Reminders: notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We do not operate a push notification server.
- Backup and CSV export: the export file is created on your device and handed to your system's share sheet only when you choose to export. Where it goes next (for example email or a cloud drive) is your choice and is governed by that service.
- Sharing an install link: when you share Envello with someone, the system share sheet is used and nothing is sent to us.
08What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information or share it with data brokers.
- The App does not include usage analytics; we do not track which screens you use.
- The App does not ask for your precise location, contacts or photo library, and it does not connect to your bank.
- We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
09Legal bases (EEA and UK)
Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — crash and error reports, update checks, and keeping our services secure.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — personalized advertising and, on iOS, tracking permitted through App Tracking Transparency. You can withdraw consent at any time as described in section 4.
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — providing and restoring Pro after you buy it.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — keeping purchase records required by tax and accounting law.
10How long we keep information
- Crash and error reports: up to 90 days.
- Purchase records: as long as needed to provide Pro and to meet accounting obligations.
- Support emails: up to 1 year after your request is resolved.
- Data on your device: until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.
11International transfers
Our service providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
12Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to receive a copy of it, to restrict or object to its processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email app@mint-soft.com. We respond within 30 days.
Because your budget is stored only on your device and crash reports do not identify you, we often cannot link data to you; if so, we will explain what we can and cannot do (GDPR Art. 11).
13California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell personal information. The use of advertising identifiers by ad partners for personalized ads may count as “sharing” under the CPRA; you can opt out using the controls described in section 4. You also have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
14Children
The App is not directed at children under the minimum age required in their country (13 in the United States, 14 in the Republic of Korea, and up to 16 in some EEA countries). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below these ages. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
15Republic of Korea (PIPA)
For users in Korea, MintSoft has designated a privacy officer responsible for protecting personal information.
- Privacy officer: MintSoft Privacy Team
- Email: app@mint-soft.com
You may request access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information at any time, and we will act without delay as required by the Personal Information Protection Act.
16Deleting your data
- In the App: Settings → Clear App Data permanently deletes everything stored by the App on this device.
- Uninstalling the App also deletes its data from the device.
- Advertising identifier: reset or delete it in your device settings (see section 4).
- Crash reports and purchase records held by our providers: email app@mint-soft.com and we will help with deletion where possible.
17Security
Data sent to our service providers is protected in transit with industry-standard encryption (TLS). Data in the App is kept in the App's private storage on your device. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we reduce risk by collecting as little as possible.
18This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Your language and theme choices are saved only in your browser's local storage. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
19Changes to this policy
When we make changes, we will publish the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date. For significant changes, we will also give notice in the App where feasible.
